Recently, in line with the global trend of ESG management, open innovation has become a focal point for many industries and companies worldwide. The South Korean government has announced plans to activate open innovation to transition from a technology follower to a global leader in the medical device industry. In this session, we aim to share strategies and implementation plans for activating open innovation in the South Korean medical device industry to enhance competitiveness and expand global presence. We will also discuss the open innovation project plans between the Health Industry Promotion Agency and Roche Diagnostics Korea. We will explore Roche Diagnostics Korea's areas of collaboration interest (digital diagnostics, molecular diagnostics, digital pathology) and examine key success cases of open innovation by global companies to seek cooperation opportunities for global expansion.
